It may be a defective headunit. Only sure way to tell is a costly way. I have to buy another one, install it, and see how it behaves. I am gonna use the same headunit harness that I have already wired up, this way I can rule out if the metra harness, antenna adapter, microbypass, and or the headunit harmess are not the culprit. If the new one works like it should than ill be stuck with two! FML!

Might try to sell it on ebay as a parts only headunit....
hummm...does it work with the wireless remote that comes with the pioneer?

not sure but you might have wired up the harness incorrectly. you say you have a 2013, the 2009-2012 are wired differently from 2013 per Big.
