Here are the ITB-500HD or "The Twins"
Now for pricing these retail around 500 for the dual channel set up.
I can probably do 450 for a group buy or even lower depending on the amount of people interested.

cool.

per the thread title, i was hoping this would be something one can use for cars that are parked? like while at a restaurant take vid feed of the car's surroundings to use later for reporting if car is vandalized or something.

The ITB-100HD retails for 279.99 For the group buy I can drop it to about 245.00 even less depending on group amount.

So its an end consumer product which means its plug and play.
If you have questions, again post in this thread so people dont ask the same one over and over again.

Yea and its also for moving vehicles as well.
Ill upload more videos so you can the the night vision and License plate closeups as well. So yea if someone clips you in the lot it will turn on and record it for you.
It also has GPS functions so it lets you know where the accident happened and how fast you were going if it was moving accident.

I have actually thought of getting one. I had an individual driving a huge truck with a stick in front of me and he almost rolled back and hit me. I thought wow there would no way for me to prove it was his fault. He could turn around and say nope was you and now I have whiplash.

Still in my head and I may go grab one.

So yea as soon as we got the products shipped to us from the manufacturer in Korea, we were driving from a business meeting and BOOM something flys off a truck and cracks our windshield...sigh should have installed one before heading to the meeting just to get some video but we were in a hurry.

Start a group list ill leave it up for about a week

If you need more info just ask on the thread.

Always start by asking AKs permission. You may need to be a paying vendor. Rain was offering dash cams a while back, so its definitely possible if you talk to the right people.

Can you give an example how it records a collision while the car is parked or if someone vandalized or a parked car next to us put a ding on our cars?

So lets say you park your car and you go outside you can either leave it on for the duration your gone or have it turn on and off with your engine. Now in case of vandalism lets say your dashcam is on then it will record them coming to and from your car now this is when there is no collision involved. Now if the unit is turned off it will automatically turn itself on in case of collision. So if someone hits you in the lot it will turn on and you have a plate number or w.e else you might need. If someone dings you (Now ill have to get back to you on the sensitivity of the sensor but from what i heard its quite sensitive) it will turn on and record the person getting in and out and pulling out of driveway if he decideds to leave. Now when it turns on it will display the time when you take the SD card and put it into your computer it will show you what time the collision happened so you can go to that part of the file and watch which car it was.

Is there a down side to collecting this much data?

6MT-Z34 10-25-2013 07:56 PM

Very interesting, do you have pictures of it installed? I would like to know if it can be "hidden" so ppl won't know theres a camera inside.

Also, will you offer installation with it if local?

Not sure what you mean. isnt it usually the more data the better unless your in the wrong haha. When your in the right you want as much data as possible. You can use it as evidence in court or for insurance purposes.
