Just found this thread. Is there a way to update the version of Gracenote on the HDD? I have Gracenote on my daily driver Dodge Durango and there are update discs for it. I just recently installed one updating it to the latest version of Gracenote.

This process of transferring untilted songs to a compact flash card then to your computer to update that data only and then back to the HDD is a pain in the a$$. Plus it doesn't help you going forward when you download more songs. There should be a way to update the whole system.

Good to know! Has anyone found a work-around for the 512 song limit that seems to exist when reading Compact Flash cards? I've got an 8 gig card filled but I can't seem to access anything past 512 items (including folders).

This audio system seems to have such good potential, but between the issues with being restricted to adding songs to the MusicBox via CD only, bringing the names across, and the ridiculous limit on CF cards, it has left me frustrated.

Has anyone found a way to dump songs directly onto the hard drive via the CF?

I agree, there has to be a way to access the HDD and write to it without using CD's. It would be nice if someone could hack into the software and load music into it from their laptop, treating it like an external drive.

Did anyone do this successfully? and if so, how? Im trying this now (yes I know what year it is)
I selected the unknown songs from the 370z musicbox and transferred them to a export.DAT file to the usb.

Now I dont know how to have the pc change the data. Is there a program I use to open the file to have gracenote read and change it on the PC?
