I'd recommend upgrading a few things if your going to add an amp.
Upgrade to polk speakers, they will give you a more solid sound than kicker. Upgrade to component front speakers and take advantage of your stock tweeter location for your new tweeter. The polk db's are a direct fit and you can easily fit the new tweeter in the factory location. A 5 channel amp I agree with, alpine makes a great one as does JL. I prefer the alpine over Jl though. The PDX5 is the old version, the replacement is the PDX-V9. No matter what you run you will have to adjust your gains on your new amp, so do not worry so much about the RMS wattage as you can adjust that.
