Default Beltronics Smart direct wire

I looked for some info in the forums but could not find anything. I have the V955 radar detector and I want to hard wire it. I saw this on Amazon and I wanted to see if anyone has used this to hard wire their radar detector with this.

I was going to put this in the DIY section but I am not sure that it belongs there. If it is please let me know and I can remove and add over at DYI section.
