Angry My Beltronics RX65 Took a Dump!

Damn thing now goes off through every band a minute after being powered up. Called the company, they said send back with $59.95 and will fix like new. If this doesn't work, I will get a Valentine One.

Can say from personal experience that I am superbly happy with my Escort 9500ix, in comparison to the V1, it is the best buy you can get for about $175 cheaper (priced new from Escort is $500 I believe).

The only real differences I found from personal use and research testing online is that the V1 has the greatest range of basically any detector. The 9500ix does show superior accuracy though and learns at a great rate at areas that are not needed to signal you.

I'll hold fast and say that V1 is great and very effective but for a cut of about $200, worth every penny.

I actually have this same issue with my V1. Every 15 seconds it sounds off like it's getting a laser signal, then goes out and repeats. If I unplug it for a day or so, it'll work fine for 1 day and then go back to this 15 second flash mode.... I've quit using it alltogether.

I currently use a 9500ix and it is my 6th detector purchased from Escort over the past 23 years (used to be called Cincinnati Microwave). Maybe because I tend to be brand-loyal, but none of the Escort products have ever failed me.

A particularly nice feature (besides great detection capability) of the 9500ix is its learning capability. All of those random alerts from grocery stores, etc. are all ignored. The only downside is the woman's voice that announces an alert. She is loud and sometimes scares the cr*p out of me (figuratively).

Haha^

I haven't updated mine so I don't have the women's voice! But the learning capability is a preferred feature of mine also!

Outcome:
Just received a Brand New RX65, new cord and window mount from Beltronics. I can't believe it, my original didn't even have a serial number on it. All for $59! Talk about great customer service!

I turned off the voice feature when I got mine Christmas morning.

Yesterday I did the center console custom mute button. Check the DIY section. Its an awesome mod! I LOVE my 9500ix.
