It is not that hard, and yes I have done it but not with a tablet. The only big difference is a tablet you have more customization with the screen which can be good/bad. Where mine is a static setup, it is just a screen with an HKS Camp 2 plugged in.

Mine was bought from Baker Nissan as my car was under going that setup after someone stole my previous setup. You can hit up Lou Fusz on the forums, he might be able to get you a better deal.
