The only problem, it's not out yet. comes out sometime in September. The price? only $150.00 dollars!!! can't beat that!

I am actually going to get it for my car. I am patiently waiting....

Dude that head unit does seem like the perfect fit for everything I'd need it for. I have plans to use that head unit and later modify the cubby to accommodate a removable Google Nexus 7 tablet. I just need to find a good fabricator and solution.

While I do really like and swear by Alpine gear, that particular unit doesn't appear to have adjustable color. Call it petty, but I don't want to have a blue head unit in a car with everything else amber. That's one of the reasons I like that Pioneer so much. It will match perfectly with everything else. Unless you know of another unit that has all the features + color matching + doesn't have a big dumb LCD screen on it?

JVC makes a good one, I just prefer to stay away from pioneer.

Most aftermarket head units can match almost any color now. "Few exceptions"

What are your reasons for staying away from Pioneer? I'd love to take this chance to pick your brain for your expertise and experience. Thanks

Quick run down on the problems I have seen first hand, read about, or heard from other installers.

Removable face plates, display fails

Cd's start to not eject fully

Pico fuse can blow

Internal components fail.

BT mic's have a history of horrible echo

Motorized units have problems.

Their are people who hate and love pioneer, ones that do not have problems and ones that do. I prefer to stay away from them. Even a few here have started out by saying they had no problems. A year later nothing but problems and switched them out for kenwoods or other brands.
