mp3 player sound quality help

It depends on what your using to send the audio out. If your using your headphone jack it is not really going to help you either way.

If your going through the LOC of the ipod and letting the head unit amplify it than yes it will make a difference. Flac and lossless are about the same in quality overall.

Thanks Big! The reviews that I read were comparing them with headphones, and my HU gets a 3.5mm headphone jack from the player to rca to hook them up thru the cd changer control wire of the HU. My HU does not have a built in amp, so Im not sure if that set up means I am getting a better signal from the player or not.

Are you running it off a stock head unit and speakers?

No. I have an Alpine CDA-7995 HU, going to a JL 300/4. Speakers are Infinity Kappa Perfect 6.1 (6 1/2" components)

Used the iPod cable! I find it better than the headphone jack and WAY better than the blutooth. Just my

I wish I could but its an older HU. Unless theres an ipod cable to 3.5mm adapter of some sort, the headphone jack is my only choice.
