Default Why So Slow???

I was wondering if anyone has input as to why it seems like all of the latest in-dash nav units are STILL so slow? When I say slow, I mean the menus and interface? In most of the demo vids, the reps are so careful in touching the screen making sure they use purposeful gestures. Even then they have trouble and the end user would be DRIVING while trying to navigate the menus. It just seems to me that with the size of the unit itself and the micro chips we have now, the menus should be super fluid. I would love to have one in my car however I can't justify spending the money that the top units are commanding with such crappy user interface.

I might be missing a few points, so if I am, PLEASE let me know because you might change my mind in not getting one! haha
