Three inches or less. I considered a Kenwood powered sub that was 3 9/16" tall and it wasn't even close.

I was looking at mounting my amps under the seats this weekend and there really is no room under there. I removed the bose amp and other stock stereo components behind the seats in the hatch and will use that space instead.

Here's what I have done. First I removed all of the non-used components from the stock stereo from the forward area of the rear hatch. I cut a piece of 1/2" plywood to fit in the space (approx. 32"x8"). Once I got th corners cut to fit, I hammered the top of the board where the two large studs stuck up and used those indented to drill holes to anchor those studs to the board.

Next I placed the amps on the board for fitment. Each amp is 8"x16".

Once the amps were in place I trimmed the foam filler panel to fit back in place.

thanks for sharing. you don't run into heat issues surrounding yoru amps with foam like that? I think I may do something very similar to this.

I would be careful with how much foam you have around your amps. Especially if they are class A/B amps

Perhaps I'll leave out the styrofoam filler panel. My ZEnclosure will be sitting over it anyways.

Heat could definitely be an issue there.

What kind of amps are those that fit into that small space?

I have a 2 channel amp measuring 62mm(h) x 257(w) x 192(d) installed under the passenger seat.

If you look, the floor board slopes downward a good amount.

Depending on amp size, it is possible. Whats your dimensions?

Well I am wanting to install an amp under the drivers seat and a minature car pc under the passanger seat.

198(w)mm*198(d)mm*60(h)mm are the dimensions of the computer case I am considering. I want to keep the electronics and wiring from view as much as possible to mantain a clean look. I have not decided on an amp yet
