Rear speakers

I bought the base model and installed rear speakers. Initially I bought 4" speakers. They didn't fit! I ended up buying 3.5" speakers and they fit the speaker mounting holes

I bought the base model and installed rear speakers. Initially I bought 4" speakers. They didn't fit! I ended up buying 3.5" speakers and they fit the speaker mounting holes and grill perfectly. You will also have to run wires back up to the head unit unless you install an amp.
Take care,
Willie

Thanks guys, that is exactly what I was looking for. I knew I didn't have any rear speakers, but I didn't know what size would fit.

forget rears, get comps in the front (and a sub), or just upgrade the fronts to better full-ranges

I'm doing the full system. Upgrading components up front, adding in rears, new HU, and subs/amps.

Fortunately I can do most of the work myself and already have most of the equipment.

Is there a particular reason that you think this is a better option?

Did you keep the stock stereo?
If so, how much did it cost to add the spaeker?

I was looking to upgarde all speakers, and add 3.5 in the back.

If this is what I want to do what do you think I need to do?
2-4.5
2-1.5
and 3.5 for the rear?
Can the stock handle this?
