Default Amping the Stock Bose Sub

Has anyone seen this?

DIY - Increasing / Improving the output of the OEM Bose Murano Subwoofer - Nissan Murano - Nissan Murano Forums

I'm more than happy with the level of bass being produced from the stock BOSE system.

I'm currently running a Bit-Ten and a PDX-5 powering Splits / Rears(Soon)

I'm thinking of running the stock bose sub via the PDX-5 as this will let me control the volume via the Bit-ten DRC. I'm not looking for more bass, just for everything to run through the Audio Processor so I can unify the volume control. I really don't want to loose any trunk spaces by putting in a dedicated sub. I want the installation to be stealth as well. My installer has shown me some pioneer active wheel well sub but it looks very similar to the BOSE unit.

Thoughts on this?

I would not even mess with the bose sub for two reason, weird ohms levels, adding more power to the bose sub will just allow them to wear out much quicker as they are probably not meant to run at more power.

Guide states ohm rating

I don't want more power (gains will be set low).

I still would not. If I am taking the time to tear apart a bose sub to rig it for a new amp I would just replace the sub while I was at it.
