Default Box and sub setup

I'm in the process of buying parts for my stereo system and would like to hear some thoughts on the setup I have in mind.

2 of these: Cerwin Vega V-Max102 Component Car Subwoofers at Onlinecarstereo.com 500 RMS per sub

in this: Custom Sub Enclosure | Affordable Sub Box

being pushed by this (already own): Hifonics BXi1610D 1600W RMS, Brutus BXi Series Class D Monoblock 550x2 RMS

Components: Polk DBs
Head Unit: Kenwood DDX516

Components will be amped at a later date.

Thoughts?

Box may be slightly undersized for the subs. They need .7 cu ft each, and the box is exactly .7 cu ft. Add a little polyfill and you may be ok.
How do you like the Hifonics amp???

I had the Hifonics amp pushing 2 Hifonics Atlas subs (600RMS each) for 2 years and the amp did the job wonderfully. Definitely a great value!

Yeah, I thought the space may be cutting it close. Do you think there would be a chance they wouldn't fit in the box at all, or that the may sound bad in this box?

They will definitely fit, and will more than likely sound perfectly fine, the only issue you may have would that the sub may not play the lower frequencies as well as it could. Not an issue for the average joe, but if your a flat out audiophile you may pick up on it.

Yeah, I've read reviews of these subs sounding good in a sealed box. Maybe I'll go with JL W3s instead which require less airspace and can still handle similar wattage.

With a sealed box you can +- 10% on the size, about, throw in some fill and you'll be fine.
