spacer will accomodate for basket width by default, i put a set of hertz hsk165xls in a 2011 whcih are only 2mm shallower than the legatias than he will have no trouble fitting legatias in his factory location without hitting the door.

A mid in the tweeters stock location could be very very close. Right under the tweeters bracket about 1/4 inch down is plastic so I am not sure if you are going to have clearance for a mid.

If you are seriously going to do a 2 or even 3 way setup I would highly recommend going with either a audison bitone or the more popular option the JBL MS8.
