Radar Detector Hardwire?

I am familiar with the mirror tap, but I never used it. It seems like a good idea, though. Is there a reason why I would go to the trouble to tap this fuze? I had the wire tap on my last car and I didn't want to cut, tap, solder, and heat shrink wires, so I went with the tap a fuse.

It's actually more simple. You unplug one of the fuse and plug in the tap a fuse. Then add two fuses. In this instance, it is easier to change fuses and undo the wiring.

Yeah just stuff the wire in the headliner, the a pillar will pop off, pull on the weather stripping and that will go down to the fuse box right by the dead pedal.

My 'vette is the same way, I know what you mean.

I didn't know you needed to cut/solder/etc. to tap into the mirror? In my 'vette, you just plug it in piggybacking on top of the existing wires in the mirror plug.

Do you have a link to the product that you used for your fuse install?
