screen in cubby hole, what to hook up?

I've got a similar desire to put some sort of useful screen in that cubby. I had pondered a Nexus 7.. a car pc.. or some sort of dedicated obd2

I did the dedicated OBD2 system and went a step further and bought the OEM navigation piece. This is a bit more than $150 since it is through Nissan, but I had the custom built option for awhile and wanted something cleaner/OEM looking. Ended up with this:

find a machine shop in your area that does custom work and have them make you a plate that can fit in the oem nav controls spot.
