Bose dual sub location

Anyone have pics of the Bose subs? I'm interested in the location and what the enclosure looks like.

It's a round black thing that sits in the spare tire.

Aaah ok, so it does sit about the spare tire. Flush? And the carpet goes over the top I assume?

Yes, there are 2 probably 4 inch woofers in a big plastic container.

Remember to add a LOC and a new amp if your planning on upgrading to a new sub.

Aye thanks for the info.

I just picked up a Nismo and the stereo is horrid. Not a news flash..

I'm looking into options at the moment.

GPS, Pandora Radio, backup camera are the main three. I like gadgets... so the idea of a Ipad or Android tablet is also appealing.
Carpc?
Tablet + HU ?
Awesome HU?

Do I need internet in the car? hmm
I like sound, but I don't need to blurr my vision. I'd like to keep it stock looking, I dont need someone to walk by and decide he wants it more then me and smash my windows out.
From reading the posts it seems rear speakers are a waste. I'm thinking a nice 8 or 10. The GF has a Bose system in her Maxima and that sounds pretty decent to me.

Not trying to start another thread, but feel free to throw some recommendations at me. Not trying to spend the farm on it. 1000-1200 would be my goal. Unless a few hundred makes a huge difference. I have a amp for the sub already.

Thanks in advance for any info.

Sounds like you have no idea which way to go.

Car pc's are pretty dated with tablets being out and at full strength.

It all depends on what your trying to get out of your system. If you just want pandora and have a iphone than a good head unit is all you need. If you have a android phone wait for the new models to come out and they will be able to control your android phone.

If your looking for something that can store music and surf the web a tablet would be my advice.

If your looking for something that you can just plug a thumb drive in with a ton of music, a good head unit will do that fine.

And if you say your looking for a to of gadgets tablet wins again, unless you find the newer head units with BT interface and custom digital gauges appealing.

Yeah I have a Iphone. Pandora radio fills all my needs for stuff other then local channels.
BT Interface and Digital Guages? sounds cool.

The tablet Idea sounds cool. I havent seen anyone put it in the cubby and leave the door on yet. But If i could remove it easily, then I could use it for work also and dump my ipad2.

I have ford Sync in the Raptor. I like the weather map stuff, and being able to check gas station prices on the fly in my area. Sounds like maybe just a head unit? Altho Tablets are cheap.

That's pretty cool. I like it.
I'm fine with using the tablet for GPS etc.... I think its easier, and much more up gradable down the road. What about using a tablet to run the whole system? That's probably a bit more work I would assume.

I am going to install the DNX-9990HD, change out the front with nice seperates, and 3.5s to the rear, and the stealth box for the sub. I am also flirting with the tablet in the cubby, but am considering the new iPad3.
