Back up camera

I am looking for a great deal for a back up camera for my 2009 Touring with Nav. Can anyone tell me where I can look?

Default CMOS camera that fits perfectly

I just bought a camera that replaces the right licence plate light. It fits perfectly and is listed as a backup camera for a Nissan Livina. It fits the 370Z as if it was made for it. I purchased mine here:

Color CMOS/CCD Car Rear View Camera for Nissan Livina - Tmart.com

I found the video quite good, and will be returning my Boyo VTL 422C, as I felt it wasn't as good as this particular unit.

It is about 1/4 the price to boot!

I got it a couple of days ago, and tried it out on my TV. It looked good. I put it in my Z yesterday and it fit perfectly. I haven't got my Kenwood 9960 installed yet, but I see no reason it wouln't work fine. As I said, the video looked better than my Boyo camera I had bought earlier. This one was less grainy in low light than the Boyo. I'll update when I get the head installed.

Just ordered one from this website. Hooking it up to my Kenwood DNX6160. For under 20 bucks I dont see what I got to loose.

Check out NavTool for your 2009 head unit. It will make it an easier install...

the backup camera posted above is similar to the one that i had manufactured

i was looking to see if there was interest in getting some more made, but there was only 1 or 2 other peoples interested, and it wasnt worth the cost. i paid almost ~100 dollars to have my backup camera customized with a 1/4" Sony NTSC CCD Sensor and gridlines. it was one of the greatest investments ever. the red section in the camera shows that i have less than a foot of space and has been great to judge backing distances.

The camera looks just like the one Chops posted. Mine also has some grid lines for distance, but they are blue in color. I'm out of town at the moment, but will post a picture of it when I get home.

this looks like a good option... can you control it from your 9960? like how you can control the kenwood cmos 300?

Also when you post pic's can you also post a pic of the camera installed please?

Thanks,

Very interested to see the lines and how it looks in low light.

I have the same HU as Chops. Did you do your own install and cable routing? How troublesome was it?

Today I installed this one:

As you can see it just replaces one of the number plate lights so there is no need to cut or drill anything.

This is what the view looks like:

It was on ebay and delivered to my door for £19. I'm happy with the result
