Problems with manufacturer audio/nav system after language change

I bought my 2010 Z a little over 3 months ago.

I'm an English lad living in Marbella, Spain and when i picked up the car (used model Jan 2010, no hard drive, Spanish LHD) i followed the steps and changed the sat nav and audio display language from Spanish kilometers to English kilometers.

It automatically went through 4 steps, on the last step it froze on 50% complete. after half an hour it would reset and do it all again, and so on.

After that non of the buttons on the center console, radio or sat nav work. The ac tends to come on when it wants... maybe to a previously set temp?

The steering wheel buttons work. When i press enter the sat nav screen comes up, the voice is in English and the instructions are in English but annoyingly i cant change the destination of the previous owner (in Barcelona!). I can cycle through AM and FM radio, I can also pug my iPod in the aux.

My local Nissan dealer haven't got a clue the car has been in and out over the past few months, they seem to have changed just about everything and it still isn't working! The car is there now in pieces and has been for 3 days now!

Please any help or insight would be greatly appreciated!

I think it could be a problem with the bus cable?
