Default Bose LCD Display Issue

Just wanted to see if anyone else is having the same issue with their "premium" Bose head units...

My display keeps going in and out, it stays back lit but you cannot read the display. Then it flickers in and out and comes back like nothing is wrong. The dealer couldn't replicate the issue, and they won't take my cellphone video as proof there is an issue. Every time it happens I head towards the dealer and it fixes itself before I get there.

If you've had the issue, what was the fix?

sounds like some sort of loose power connection. PM bdl99, he designed the rear view camera harness for the 2010 370z and 2011 GTR and knows a lot about this kind of stuff, could be a real quick fix based on the symptoms.

I should have mentioned, the radio functions normally -- its only the LCD display that is going out. I can change stations etc. with no issues.

Time to remove another bose?

But seriously bose has a lot of problems if you bought it new or with a warranty take it to them and let them fix it.

Yeah the car is still "new" so its under warranty. Wish the dealer could replicate the issue or it would fail all together! If this continues I may just upgrade..

Lightbulb

Do you have a pocket video camera that you can setup to record the issue while driving? Just edit and show the dealer.

Already tried that...I have a clear video of the issue..they said they didn't care and HAD to see the problem themselves before taking corrective action/troubleshooting.

Figured I'd bring this back from the dead in case anyone else has the same problem in the future.

My radio display finally quit working all together and Nissan is replacing it.

Too bad they wouldn't take your word for it earlier. Glad you got it worked out.
