The US MY2010 was the first US 370z that included the new digital navigation system that my kit requires, the US MY2009 used the older Non digital Navigation System.

For those older systems a Composite to RGB video converter is required. Search for Navtool and you should find what you are looking for.

bdl99:Thanks!

Currently demand it slightly greater than supply. Everyone on the waiting list was informed today that I had stock to cover their orders. Now I'm waiting for the next batch.

So corrected that. I'll update you with the result, but unfortunately, this won't be in the next 2 weeks, as I won't be able to drive it in the mean time.

Thanks for your help !

Now I can confirm that it's working perfect!

Thank for your help!

I'm posting this thread to gauge interest from those with 2009 and 2010 370'z with OEM Navigation. As many of you know, the 2011 Navigation includes a Rear View Monitor. If this can be retrofitted into 2009 and or 2010 370Z's with OEM Navigation, we could possibly arrange a group buy from one of the vendors or supporting Nissan dealers, or at least let them know there is interest in the part and it is something we would like them to carry. Perhaps one of them would be able to shed some light on the compatibility and cost of the unit, and maybe even installed prices.
Since there are differences between the 2010 and 2009 nav, it is possible that the 2011 Rear view monitor may only be compatible with the 2010, or none at all. I'm sure that, no matter what, we would need some sort of a software update as well. Regardless, lets get a list going of those of us with 2009/2010 with Nav, who'd like to have this part installed.

List your username and your model year. i will update this post with a list of those interested, separated by model year.

I've not had good luck with the cheaper cameras, they work but I find they fail over time. Maybe things have improved but something to be aware of if you are paying someone else to install. I use the Kenwood CMOS-200 which is $150 so definitively more expensive but very very reliable.

What do you want to do with OBD?

Do you already have the camera kit? Do you have a 2009 or 10/11?

If you are willing to take a trip to NJ (Princeton Area) I maybe able to help.

Thechidz 10-11-2011 04:39 PM

Still possible to score any deal on here? And does navtool do installs locally or recommend anyone? Thanks!

Edit: posted this before reading #478 :p
