^ I like the Dual Pole approach. The DVD Park Brake ground wire could be reversed if ever a 'dealer' issue arose, but it is highly unlikely.
To watch a DVD, simply engage the VSS bypass and the vehicle is ready to watch a DVD in motion OR enter NAV info! warp speed ahead Mr. Sulu! (Brian!) WRT the switch... someone with mild electrical design ability might be able to make a small circuit board with the correct outputs to control these options intelligently. Otherwise, I believe the heated seat switch is the correct on off on solution. Other than the illuminated top of the switch indicating a seat heater!... |

Just for clarification: the bypass for the camera is just to keep the camera on at all times (use like a rearview mirror), but when put in reverse, the back-up camera will always come on automatically still. Is this correct? |

"Make it so..." I will look to create a harness with a connector that will allow connection to the remote unit or physical switch. That way I can offer you guys the choice with common components. Jeff: Let me know if you are interested in another trip to NJ |
Speaking of disabling things...how about disabling the signal to the Nav unit that tells it the Roadsters's top is open? This disables the voice recognition even if the car is stopped.
