If you can make another kit, I am interested in a bypass as well as a camera harness kit. I already have the Kenwood CMOS-200 camera so a combo of the rest would be all I need. Thanks just let me know the price and where to send the payment.

Details are available here with pricing and ordering details. Currently the switch based bypass kit is on a waitlist due to availability constraints of the heated seat switches and associated harness from Nissan.

I was going to offer combined shipping, but the savings would only be $5-10 at most and the extra effort in maintaining separate items or adding a cart based ordering system just wasn't worth it.

Hi,

I don't really if that the correct place to post. If it isn't please excuse me and show me where to post that. Did a few searchs but didn't find any thing.

I bough this camera and followed the guide for installation. Only the camera, no remote to activate it on demand.
Everything went smoothly.

But now, sometimes, not every time, when I switched out of reverse, the camera stays on screen.
Not any of the buttons would work.
If I stop the engine and restart it immediately, it's still displayed, I have to stop it for a few minutes to get the thing to work correctly.

Did I miss something during installation?
Had anyone got this before?

Any help will be greatly appreciated :)

I've seen this a couple of times. Please check the configuration numbers were entered correctly and specifically the first number which is a negative.

To enter the negative number you first enter the number and then use the +/- button to toggle between positive and negative. This is really counter intuitive, so you may have thought you entered a negative number but didn't.

Anyway, I pretty sure that if you correct any mistakes on the numbers the problem will go away. What is happening is it is a computer after all and it is effectively locking up when trying to do the grid line calculations.

Let me know if you have any other problems or questions.

Brian

Brian, Installed Bypass and Camera yesterday. Everything works as promised. It took me about 5 hours - with most of the time figuring out simple things like how to disconnect the connections on the unit. It also took me a little time to feed the camera wire between the trunk and passanger compartment. Keep in mind I'm a complete notice - so there was a lot of thinking time. Best wishes and thanks for the back and forth e-mail help. Joe

I remember taking extra care on that part at installation time but when I checked that, it wasn't negative... (probably because if you put all the number written, then, even if you push +/-, it won't change, you have to remove the last '0' to get it to work... so lame of them).

So corrected that. I'll update you with the result, but unfortunately, this won't be in the next 2 weeks, as I won't be able to drive it in the mean time.

Thanks for your help !

Do roadsters have to use the remote control version?

Dras 08-06-2011 05:22 PM

The remote version is favored by the roadster owners because I believe there is no blank switch to place the extra heated seat switch.

The US MY2010 was the first US 370z that included the new digital navigation system that my kit requires, the US MY2009 used the older Non digital Navigation System.

For those older systems a Composite to RGB video converter is required. Search for Navtool and you should find what you are looking for.

I'm interested in the kit for 370z roadster 2010.

1. I already have a backup camera bought from here. The camera was very cheap, but I don't know if it's working with my/your system.

2. I live in Europe; can I pay via PayPal ?

This is my unit:

1. That camera should work, but I cant speak for the quality or how long it will last.

As long as you have the newer AV system my kit will work. You can check this by doing the following:
With Radio off
Press and hold the “Settings” button and turn the volume control counter clockwise.
After about 40 clicks a menu will appear
Select “confirmation/adjustment”
Next move down to “Camera” and select
Then select “Camera Syst Type” and change from “No Camera” to “With Rear view Camera”
Come all the way out of the menus using the back button and the system will reboot
Now when you put the car in reverse, if a blue screen appears with “Please check your surroundings” message your car is compatible
2. I've sold kits to many parts of Europe and yes you can pay by Paypal. You can see more details and order here --> Car Kit Company

Thanks,
Brian
