I'd like to know how this works as well...would love to keep the factory screen looking as is but with the backup camera...

you're in luck, thats exactly what we've been able to do. read through this thread and send a PM to bdl99 if you are interested in his kit after browsing the thread.

Fantastic...can't believe they didn't include backup camera as standard equipment in my 2010....particularly with all the blindspots of the Z....this will be a great mod to the car and I keep the factory Nav system....thanks.
