Default Dynamat Treatment

Just completed the Dynamat rear trunk kit, easy install. Rear panels are easy to remove and re-install is just as easy.

Before there was always this drowning sound from the back, that sound is now gone totally. Huge difference now all I hear is the sound of the engine instead of the rear tires.

Money well spent in my opinion!

I was looking to do this as well. Where did you get the kit?

Any pictures?

I got it onsale at Future Shop for $200, I didn't bother taking pics it's the same as what is on install video number 2.

I wondered what the difference would be if all I changed in the car was the dynamat in the back and it's a big difference! Now on to the audio install, oh and if anyone wanted to know where the Bose amp is it's under the front foam block just behind the cross brace on the drivers side, the passenger side has the Bluetooth and satellite unit.

Dude you paid $200 for this: Amazon.com: Dynamat 19405 Xtreme Trunk Kit: Electronics ???

If so, they seem to have a price match policy...

I bought this kit plus a roller. Did my trunk and have enough left for the doors. Someone more meticulous could probably cover even more area.

I concur on the noise reduction. It balanced out the sound. Now I don't hear every bit of crud on the road.

Dude here in Canada we pay through the *** for stuff, and when we try to bring stuff across the border they rape us there too. $200 for that kit here in Canada is a good price! No retailer is going to price match against US online pricing.

I shopped around a bunch, all retailers in Canada sell that trunk kit for $200+
I was able to just drive down to future shop and pick it up no shipping so it was worth the $200, and totally worth every penny I spent.

It sucks to be Canadian some times when I see the deals you guys can get down there, no matter how we try it the border wants their cut. Usually costs 25% minimum inlcuding taxes, duties etc. etc. Plus all my hastle to get across the border, plus my warranty issues so I buy local. I pay more but get a ton less headache.

the bulk pack of dynamat extreme is 36.4 square feet and weighs just over 16lbs.

evenly spready out in key areas you can make the rear and doors very quiet. my nismo was loud before!!!! even had a friend say damn it got much quieter in here. the added weight is worth it.

cool, thanks for the info. yah, 16lbs is nothing.

im starting to put together my to do list for next season. so far:

- dynamat trunk and doors
- while panels off, new front components (probably polks)

the Z's road noise level is like 5x louder than my G so this can quickly tighten up my bass response.

Weight of wood a few lbs, minus the Bose amp bracket and the foam block is about even on weight. I will have likely about 20lbs of Dynamat in the car when done, plus the sub box and amp, wire. All equals about 100lbs of added weight to the car, price you pay for good thump.

Oh by the way driving around with the Bose Sub going and the Dynamat has for surely increased the factory thump.
