Well, with the help of the Car Audio/Video sub-reddit I was able to get this working properly (and awesomely). For anyone wanting to hook up an aftermarket Android HU to your factory Bose, here are some things to consider:
1. Your aftermarket headunit isn't feeding enough voltage to the input side of the oem bose amplifier. This is the case 9 times out of 10 for nissans with premium bose. 2. The problem with just using JUST the regular Nissan harness it will over drive your factory amp inputs. Half volume will be full volume. I would suggest using the Nissan Bose amp Integration harness and using 2 LOC off the speaker level outputs on the radio. Also make sure you grounded the amp and deck. That car uses chassis ground not a wire in the metra harness. You will need to run a lead and physically ground the radio and amp. After adding the 2 LOC, the amp is pumping full sound and volume, and there is no more whine because it is properly chassis-grounded. |
