Custom speaker setup

I have seen that done on more than one occasion, and in different locations on the vehicle as well, but never open to weather like that.....bye, bye, subwoofer......Although it is likely that the owner uses it strictly as a competition car, and trailers it everywhere, which is not uncommon either.
The Sub would also have to be fitted with an aperiodic membrane, which may have been removed for the pic....?
