Wiring a 4-ohm DVC to mono amp

I'm an audio Id10t. So one voice coil goes to one pair of speaker terminals on the amp and the other coil goes to the other? How does that work

Default Wiring a 4-ohm DVC to mono amp

I'm an audio Id10t. So one voice coil goes to one pair of speaker terminals on the amp and the other coil goes to the other? How does that work when my box has one pair of speaker terminals for the sub to connect to.

I know I'm way over thinking this.

--EDIT-- I found out that both terminals are wired in parallel internally. Only one Positive (+) and one Negative (–) terminal is required for a speaker connection.
