Nom. power: 80W... so i didnt know what Watt to go by along with Nom. impedance 4 ohms and DC resistance 3 ohms.. it just gives me a big of headache... also on a threads listed below, someone said the kp2 165kr speakers can handle a lot more power then the spec sheet listed ( 200w rms ).. Question about Focal Power Handling FS - Focal K2P 165s (Like New) Quote:
the rear speaker is just for when i want to play dvd or for bluetooth calling.. even tho if it doesnt do much or anything.. it's a cheap investment.. incase one day i do decide to get rears, i dont have to do another install and get another amp for it.. yea.. the zenclosure boxes look awesome! i have seen alot of those on a 370z build and that will b the route i take IF i do decide to ever get a sub! thanks for the amp recommendations .. so are u saying that the Soundstream PN4.520D will start having distortion when in high volume? The amps Mr Pinchy posted are all good solid units. although the Arc is as big as a VW...lol x1 on the zenclosure box. many guys here are using them, and I have yet to see a complaint. Lastly, high volume distortion is going to be a product of Many things, and can happen with ANY piece of gear....but the setup of your amp is paramount. Try not to get TOO hung up on numbers/specifications; a lot of the things you hear are myths/dogma/miconceptions from years ago that just are not relevant today. Here are a few links for you to look at with regard to Signal to noise, and Total harmonic distortion...... Signal To Noise Ratio Total Harmonic Distortion This whole page is a great resource for beginners, and even advanced stereo nuts, and is full of information.

I think that if you are capable of installing the system you can tune it. Very simple and someone can help you out. All you have to do is set the frequency to match the speakers for each channel and the adjustable gains for volume with the HU and your set. Just a couple minutes. Lots of information about this on the internet. Crutchfield has a good step by step. Once tuned you will be able to turn the volume up so high you won't be able to stand it ,HOWEVER, the signal will be crystal clear.
