Default Did I miss something?

Hi guys,

I installed my subs and amps yesterday and this morning my airbag indicator light keeps blinking. I'm pretty sure I connected everything behind the head unit correctly but is it possible I did something? I want to ask the pros on here before I take it to the dealership :/

probably the passenger airbag sensor

Edit: Stupid question but you disconnected the negative while doing the install right?

My first guess is the same as TerribleONE's - the passenger seat sensor probably got knocked loose. There are several threads about air bag lights on this site, if the site's serach doesn't come up with anything, go to any major web search engine and add "site:the370z.com" to your search string.

I did. And I also made sure to connect the passenger air bag sensor. I don't think it's the passenger air bag but I'm probably going to double check I connected that sensor again.

This may help

1. Turn the ignition from OFF to ON, you don't have to start the car for this. Just press the start button until it gets to the ON state, usually OFF > ACC > ON.
2. The airbag light should turn on, wait until it turns off (it should stay on for 7 secs and then turn off) and then turn the ignition to OFF within 1 second.
3. Wait more than 3 seconds after the ignition turns OFF.
4. Repeat steps 1 to 3, twice. (Total 3 times)

Agreed. See sticky thread "problems and fixes after stereo install".
This issue is in the very first post.

Sounds like you booted up the head unit or left the negative battery terminal connected while you pulled the passenger air bag light from the dash. That trips it.

Thanks for the responses guys. Will update once I get a chance to troubleshoot it. I could have sworn I had the negative terminal unplugged, but it wouldn't surprise me. Thanks, again.

If nothing else pull into your dealer and have them reset the light.

actually i never unplug my negative terminal on my battery for doing just stereo install. that did not trip the srs indicator on my ride.

but the first part of big's post "Sounds like you booted up the head unit" without the passenger srs indicator plugged in, that will trigger it.
