Will a 12" sub for a 370z trunk?

Installing a jbl 12" sub with built in amp today and was wondering if it will fit without a box?

I'm pretty sure even if you kept it in the packaging it came in it would still fit in your car to bring it home, the Z is small but it's not an Elise.

Do you mean in the OEM sub location? If so the answer is no. I am running the Zenclosures single 12" box with a JL12W3 and it slams.
