Pioneer HU Bezel/Dash kit issue

What I find hard to understand is that Single and double din are an industry standard size. single is 2" x 7"......double is 4" x 7". Its been that way

What I find hard to understand is that Single and double din are an industry standard size. single is 2" x 7"......double is 4" x 7". Its been that way for YEARS. why are the manufacturers wavering from that standard?
I think Big is correct when he says they have to play nice with so many manufacturers, but at the same time, why cant the manufacturers step up and make their S%$T play nice with what has long been a standard size?
Weird.
falicfr and Magnetic Z like this.

UPDATE: Got another Scosche bezel which was much better looking. Found out that the price on the Pioneer AVIC-8000NEX dropped to 800 bucks (now that the 8100's have come out). Upgraded. Took the advice of the other thread and found some adhesive backed felt from Joanne's Fabrics for under 3 bucks. After lining the inside lip of the bezel, the HU fits like a glove (and I mean exactly perfect). Finally, something that looks like it is supposed to! If anyone else is picky out there, would highly recommend this approach.
