Yea that's what I first did. I ordered the new harness mentioned above. The previous owner provided a harness but he had it installed on a base so I'm assuming it was a different harness. I'll know tomorrow after it comes in.

The backup camera also just stopped working. Not sure why so I gotta get the checked out too. I kind of regret being cheap and getting this used HU. It's giving me so many issues and it's pretty outdated at this point. Lesson learned I guess

I'm in the same boat as you OP - probably will be getting an upgraded HU later this year - was looking at some with the android auto options, those looked cool!

Well every since I got everything work I like the one I got. It plays soudcloud and spotify and I can search both apps through the HU which is all I ever use. Plus I got the backup camera which is a life saver and navigation whenever I need it.

I would definitely look into the android auto/CarPlay options a bit more. Though as of right now CarPlay isn't all that great.
