Default ok to use polk tweeters w/factory crossover?

I will eventually get a good component speaker for my non bose stereo .In the meantime I have a set of Polk 1in tweeters that Id like to use in place of the factory tweeters . Does anyone know if theres a crossover somewhere in the stock system or is there just a cap across the stock tweeter . .I know this isnt ideal but I hate the sound of the stock tweeters bouncing off the windshield

There is no x-over in the system. You will damage them! If you look on the back of the factory tweeter there is a cap on the back, it is a band pass filter.
