2012 Oil Cooler and Stillen Plate Holder

Question on the 2012 oil cooler, in looking at the car and the manual it seems like the oil cooler uses water after circulating it through the short length of tubing at the front of the grill.

The last couple of days it has the weather has cooled a bit and yet I still noticed by oil temp running slightly higher than 220, city driving. Then I noticed that the Stillen Plate holder in the tow hook mount positions the plate right in front of the tubing running back to the cooler.

Now I am curious if anyone else has found that this is blocking the air flow to an already questionable oil cooler in the 2012. Tomorrow I will pull it on the drive to work and note the oil temp and update this thread if someone has not already made this observation.
