Just damaged my car blind spot side view mirrior

I was making a left hand turn. I'm usually very careful. I did not see a stopped car and clipped it. The side view mirror blocks my line of sight

I'm usually very careful. I did not see a stopped car and clipped it. The side view mirror blocks my line of sight during turns. Does any one else have this problem? No one hurt. I think I have to replace my front bumper and get a booster seat to see over my side view mirrior.
