Question How much should a good paint job cost?

I’m contemplating on purchasing a full amuse body kit to have installed on my 13Z. I’m thinking of doing a metallic silver with gold flakes; I have yet to get quotes. How much do you guys think a quality paint job should cost? Not looking for sema levels of Quality, but something on par or better then oem.

Update: Thank you everyone for your inputs, after coming to the realization of the cost associated with said paint work. I’ll be wrapping the car in 3M’s 1080-G120 Gloss White Aluminum vinyl. Now all that’s left is deciding what to do under the hood...

I would say about 8k.Average type job.you want flawless 20k.Be careful who you pick.Look at cars they have done.Be wary of the $1,200 job.

Quality jobs are not cheap and it is very hard to find a competent shop. Take your time and do your homework. If you don't know what to look for, find someone who does and ask them for help. If you have never done something like this before. Go even slower.

Quite frankly to be 100% honest with you guys I was not atticpating a full respray to be so costly. I very well may just wrap the car, I was hoping to spend no more then 6k on paint; But after reading what has been stated, I do not think that would be very wise.

Wraps protect the original paint, are more durable, and are a lot cheaper. Better option imho

A buddy of mine does body work for a living @ a large Nissan dealership,,,They have a very good crew & he quoted me a couple years back, that it cost about 500$ per panel on these cars to do it right,,,so 5-6k sounds about right
