Difference between 40th build dates?

According to tirerack.com theres a difference between 40th's built before/after 6/2010. How so? Side note: jnaut showed me that clutches are different from 2009 to 2010 370's. Its very different.

Side note: jnaut showed me that clutches are different from 2009 to 2010 370's. Its very different. HOWEVER, my 2010 40th feels identical to the 2009 that I used to have. I didn't believe him at first, so I sat in a couple 2009 and 2010 370's at the SFZCC picnic and I'll be damned, completely different. I wonder if some things were changed after 6/2010 and perhaps mine was built before 6/2010 since it feels identical to a 2009.

I see you're using Desletix's background. So which clutch feels better?

Well of course thats a matter of opinion. While testing out other clutches in some 2010 models I think those ones feel better; they feel more linear. However, my 40th feels identical to the 2009 so I couldn't tell you which one is actually better. Jnaut said he liked the 2009 clutch better, and also that Nissan has the same part numbers for 2009 and 2010. Trust me though, its a night and day difference.

Also, I don't see why tirerack.com would care about the clutch difference when shopping for wheels, which leads me to believe there are some other changes.

After doing slightly more research I realized that tirerack.com will ask for build dates no matter which type of 2010 370Z you have which means that theres something different there.

I think its the tpms sensors that are different after 6/2010 and that's why tirerack cares about that date...

Cool 40th build dates

The last 40th was built around mid February 2010.
