TSB for oil consumption on the VQ37VHR.

I think this is a topic best talked about in person. I am hoping to get the car back tomorrow or the following. Hit me up via text at 253-988-9251.

More questions than I want to type answers too. Plus I couldnt go into detail as much. Hope you understand as I want to help as much as possible but talking through a forum can be difficult. Hope they gave you a loaner. I got a holy **** gas guzzeling titan. Not thrilled on that, but cant complain.

Hey guys I have a 2011 Nismo with 9000 miles on it and I just checked the oil level and it is smack dead in the middle between full and low. My concern is that when I did an oil change, I filled it up to the full dot. Now It is in the middle. Is this normal? I put in a tad more than 5 qts. Like 5.15 qts. Any feedback would be awesome! Thanks guys!

Need to know how many miles you put on the car from the last oil change to now.

That does sound excessive. I believe the TBS test states >10mm oil loss on dip stick after 1000-1350 miles is a fail.

Check the TBS, that will give you the answer.

The thing is I put 5.15 qts of oil in there. Shouldn't it be in the middle or near the full dot? When I checked the oil level after my oil change it was at the full dot. But I put the recommended amount of oil which should make it in the middle I guess? Thanks again.

It is normal if you are driving the car or rev high most of the times. Mine 2010 does the same thing. Now, if I am driving normal with occasional hard driving, it will get to about 2000 miles when the reading is at the middle like yours. Let me know if you have any more questions. Good luck

Thank you man. I mean I just put the reccommended amount of oil so it should be in the middle right?
