Holy **** dude... that is one awesome car... if only i could get 30k for my z and not need to save up for a house down-payment - this thing would be sold. Those pics say it all - and the work by GTM looks amazing. Bump for you man - hope you sell it to a proper enthusiast - that car deserves an amazing home.

awesome car, GLWS. what did they do to reinforce the engine to be able to handle the boost? from what it looked like you were running fairly high PSI, but maybe i just can't see

Thanks, Shabarivas. I agree and hope I find her a proper home, as well. Would be tough to let her go to just anyone.

Running 7psi low and 9psi high. Nothing done to the engine. Really no need on the 3.7litre at the level of boost I am running. Some people have upwards of 30k on the same setup I am running with zero issues.

I can answer this for storm hope he doesn't mind

The answer to your question is no the clutch was not replaced. From my understanding they did some test and there was no issue found causing the clutch to wear any faster then what it normally would. When I did my TT install I asked Sam about the clutch also if it needed to be replaced and he said no you will be fine. As storm said above there are people running with the same exact setup with 30,000 miles since the install and have reported zero problems. I believe the most someone has on the car is in the 40,000 range and that is on the stock clutch also. Dependability of the clutch will also depend mainly on the driver, from how he shifts and if he is trying to be speed racer from red light to red light. The last sentence is my opinion and what i was told from a very reputable person.

Storm hope you don't mind that I jumped in on this.

For the record Storm is a very OCD person and accepts nothing less then perfection even on the littlest of things. So who ever purchases this car rest assure that you are getting a great product.

so if we can get500 whp without a built motor, we can push it a decent amount further once people start going that route. However, the Z can't really utilize too much more than 500.

Thanks, Frank. I couldn't have said it better myself. You are absolutely correct. So far the stock clutch has performed absolutely flawlessly and I have a suspicion that it will continue to do so with my driving style. I never rev the motor and "dump the clutch" nor do I "ride the clutch" or shift hard. Even when doing 1st gear pulls, I am at speed before doing so.

I wouldn't push the stock block much past 500whp for long periods of time. This is why I rarely drive on my high boost setting. But, you are correct - for the street, anything over 500whp is sort of pointless. It gets too dangerous as far as control goes.
