The Innovate defaults to 7.4 on start up, there's a lose connection, or the sensor is not plugged in. Mine reads 7.4 for a minute or so in the mornings when I first turn the car on.

The factory wideband sensors are not as quick or accurate as aftermarket. If you want to just hook up an OBD on an N/A car then there's really no harm. If going FI, you don't use them.
