With electronic throttle control still enabled:

SRM = fast revving because it doesn't use the throttle tables, it directly acts on the throttles

SRM Disabled = uses throttle tables, has processing lag + weird curve in stock table making it much slower to bring up the revs.

Disable ETC and the response is much faster, but even then it's hard to match SRM's speed.
