diablokev87 09-24-2009 11:10 PM

Can somebody pleeeeeeeease PaintShop the standard Australian-spec rims (18's) in White on the Blue 370 pleaseeeee

Thinking of doing that with maybe a blue pinstripe!

diablokev87 09-25-2009 07:31 AM

i was wondering if i should do the blue pin strip on the 19s.

westpak 09-25-2009 08:38 AM

Stock rims can look great, this not a 370Z or blue LOL but it gives you an idea, we did this with my son's 350Z, they are powdercoated glossy black with a red pinstripe

dainedazz 09-25-2009 12:29 PM

RAJ u should see how it'd look with color matched blue pin stripe!
just like westpak@HPLogic's z33 but ofcourse in blue!
stock powder coated black rims with color matched blue pin stripe = sexuality
i think it'd look sexually delicious

diablokev87 09-25-2009 12:33 PM

Yea, i think a color matched blue pin stripe would be awesome. I have to talk to Al from Als Hub Caps to see if they can do that.

OMG Hot!!! i hope it looks that awesome.

gromano 09-27-2009 07:12 PM

Well i would have to agree...

If anyones good with photoshop please do it! hahahah BUT WITH THE 18's!!!
Us poor aussies didnt get the 19" option! :P

I was thinking a glossy white with the colour matched stripe would be just as sexy. White looks more race spec i think... blacks sorta more gangsta. lol
I still dont know which to go for!

diablokev87 09-27-2009 09:21 PM

so Al said they cant do the pin stripe on the 19's very easily. The pointy part of the rim on the inside comes out higher then the outer rim. So i was thinking i can do a two tone like the one below. The orange would be color matched blue. That might be too much. But what do you guys think.

I think that looks like too much for me...
I prefer the thinner blue pinstripe alot more.
Thats just me though.

Anyone wanna photoshop me some of the 18"s in black on Blue monterrey??:bowrofl: hhahah getting sick of asking... :ugh2:

Jason 09-27-2009 09:39 PM

that red 350 with the gloss black stocks looks fresh. i think i like the gloss over the matte/flat blacks.

Dont know if these are good enough...?

Im thinking glossy white with thin colour matched blue pinstripe, or glossy black w pinstripe....
Probably would look at painting the calipers blue then too I reckon :)

bullitt5897 09-28-2009 12:12 AM

Maybe you can try something like this but BLUE instead of RED ;)

diablokev87 09-28-2009 11:44 AM

bullitt5897 09-29-2009 10:39 AM

Let me know if there are any other colors you want and I will make them... it takes about 5 secs to do it.

diablokev87 09-29-2009 12:23 PM

OO Man +1 for you^^^.

How many seconds would it take to drop that on a Blue Z?

bullitt5897 09-29-2009 01:15 PM

Give me tonight or tomorrow to do the car blue ;) I have to trace and copy the body shell.

ok i want to do that and get than handles painted black just like that.
So with the rims i would have to get it powercoated. Then for the red how would that work paint
?

shabarivas 09-29-2009 01:42 PM

^ that can be powdercoated - just going to be a PITA but it can be done

bullitt5897 09-29-2009 01:45 PM

Ok... I got a short break here at work and threw this together. The color isnt perfect but its close enough to give you an idea.

Like mentioned above that can be powder coated. most likely a black base with the protected areas taped off the repowder coated with the black base covered and then the clear would probably be applied. I am not 100% sure but it makes sense to me.

nogoodname 09-29-2009 01:53 PM

if you black out the rims, you got to powdercoat the calipers blue

Can you do the same sort of thing (Black with Blue highlights on the inside section) on the stock 18's for me by any chance? (not the sport rims)

Its a really good idea hey. Love the look of the red ones, alot better then some of the powdercoat designs i have seen on the forum!

Can you do these in blue but chop it so rather "Z"s on the sport wheel are in the stock polished metal and the rest of the spoke is blue? The chops or actual wheels are "V"s instead of the "Z".....

From what I understand you want the end of the spokes in blue so it looks like a Z instead of the Mesh style V? I hate to break it to you but with the way the spoke is designed that will look real awkward! because in order to do the Z I would have to use an area that is wider than the V part giving it a skewed look. If you still want it done I will do it...
