Default Rear Tire Issues!

Ok, so, yesterday I was driving, hydroplaned at about 10 miles an hour making a hard left hand turn. I was able to recover the car, however, not before it spun around and the rear tire hit a curb. The tire partially came off the rim, and I had to use the doughnut (man, does that thing look wierd on the back!) until this morning. Took the tire to a local tire shop, where they remounted the rubber to the rim, filled it up, balanced it, and away I was. Except for one or two small scratches, you cant notice anything ever happened. However, once on my way, I noticed that it sounds like a propeller airplane is coming from the right rear tire. It is a very annoying sound, that is worse between the speeds of 45-65 mph. I havent really noticed the car pulling, and other than the sound, it runs great. Anyone have any ideas? I am taking it to the dealership tommrow, however, was just curious if anyone actually knew what was up.
Thanks!

Hopefully there are no noticable marks on the tire so the dealer will replace if new but you said there were small scratches???.Might be digging in your wallet for about $400..450????????
Hyroplaning at 10 miles an hour???Good luck with that one!

No, no scratches to the tire, only to the rim!

Uh, Yeah! Warranty does not cover accident damage. Chances are something is bent, or you've trashed a wheel bearing..

hydroplane at 10MPH? I know the tires are wide, but, that sound a bit "out there"

Maybe you just left a car wash and the tires had soap on them (I did the same thing - once this car breaks loose, it REALLY breaks loose!)

Seems like that'd show up with a balance if they have to add a ton of weights.

Could be one of the weights came off after it was balanced.

Or, the tire was damaged enough that it just needs to be replaced....

Can you explain a little more of how you hydroplaned doing 10 mph? I'm just curious on the mechanics of a 10 mph hydroplane.

I was called into work after a huge downpoor (I work as a firefighter). There was a good 1.5 ft. of water on the ground, I wasn't going fast, I dont know how fast I was going, however, I was going down a steep hill and had to make a hard left. I downshifted, slowed, was midway through the turn, gave a little bit of gas, and the *** end swung out. I am not saying it was any fault of the car, as it clearly wasn't, it was my fault, I was just curious as to what the issue may be. Thanks all!

Oh, you hydroplaned the whole car. 1.5ft of water will turn the car into a boat!
