Technically, yes. But as long as the aspect ratio is the same, tire widths are fairly insignificant when it comes to diameter changes. For example, the diameter of a 275/35/19 tire is 26.579 inches, and the diameter of a 285/35/19 tire is 26.854 inches. That's not going to noticeably affect your speedometer. If you want to compare these numbers yourself, check out this site.

I did not find the RE050 to be satisfactory for a DD. They're sorely inadequate for any serious tracking or auto-x, and the treadwear is garbage for a DD. I got comparable performance and more than double the life out of my Nitto Invos. In your case, I think you just need to figure out which elements you care the most about (budget, size, performance, etc...). I would recommend RE-11s over the S-04, but if the price is right, the S-04s are not a bad option for a DD.
