Lol yeah real winner there . I especially loved the orange peel and over spray everywhere where the tired to fade gunmetal to silver on the OEM

Everyone seems to have great luck too! Keep it up nissan! You make great cars that can turn fast and not shut off. Have great brakes that don't fade and send you into walls at VIR. Great cool running cars that don't need coolers and never have motor, tranny, or rear diff issues at +35k miles. I'd definitely paint cause nissan does

So why do you own one AND apparently spend money on mods? You are contradicting yourself here.

Bought before I knew the real story. Didn't know a plus 30k car couldn't turn corners when it was labeled as a sports car. And now since all our cars are worthless because of the $3600 price drop, looks like I'm stuck with it. So rpf1's are installed, clear bra will be applied, better oil cooler, better LSD, fuel pump system etc. I'm not going to be with a car I'm forced to, to have it break down, peel, over heat and die.

Can't blame Nissan entirely for your that, it's their supplier.

What you're experiencing has happened to alot of people regardless of wheel manufacturer, normally it's due to someone using improper wheel cleaner or excessive tire dressing so the clear coat is stripped

You could sand them down and reclear them yourself and this won't happen again

Not saying manufacturers do everything the best, just saying painted wheels can't be that bad if that's how they are OEM. I also agree that the environment you live in make a big difference. If you're not by the coast, salt isn't really much of a concern. I also never said I thought Plasti-dip was completely horrible either.

Car looks great, just trying to get the most accurate reference image I can for the color combination is all. Kenchan, you're the one who got my mind on those 4th wheels with that sale link s now I am giving it more thought.

i think your car will look very nice with the 40th wheels.

as mr.gurney mentioned, painting your doorhandles to match will give it that extra final touch.

I didn't completely disagree with him. He seemed a bit quick to anger. I don't think any one process is perfect. Was just saying painted wheels wasn't horrible. Didn't say they were the best either, just a legitimate option like powdercoating and even plasti-dip depending on your situation.

I don't support anything plasti-dip

These are my wheels that I had painted 5 years ago, still look new due to the care that I take when I wash them

Benfits of painting over powdercoat is really in the finish, but I have been told powdercoat is more durable.

Personally I prefer paint..
