Default ABS and Slip Light: Low Tire Tread

Hi, dealer said my ABS and SLIP light were on because I was at 3/33 of tire tread. I replaced them yesterday and the lights are still on after 120mi. I got gas and they went off around 80 mi and came back on once I got home at around 120mi. Went from Potenza re050 to Hankook V12 evo. Do these lights go off themselves or is there something else wrong? Dealer didn't mention bringing it back for a reset however I'm not sure if those lights were on for that reason in the first place but I can't imagine anything else being wrong. Car has 5,500 mi on it. Yes, I chewed through tires somehow but please don't ask.....touchy subject that I'm still resolving.

Hi, thanks for the quick response. All fluids were checked at my 4k inspection a week ago.

Air in your brake lines can cause the abs/slip light to act up. I don't think tires would have anything to do with it... unless you were running odd sizes that were way off in diameter... for example like if you were running 245/30 in the fronts and 270/40 in the rears... the diameter difference between the two could throw the system off..

Sadly yes. In a nut shell, Eibach springs and rear camber kit at 1,000 mi. Had even wear up to 4,500 (when 3/32 was documented) than after tire warranty check Firestone asked to check my alignment which had been checked and reset 6 days prior and my toe was off BAD! Those 6 days showed on the tire as the outside was worn from the tires pretty much dragging. My toe was .40 ish on both side were the factory max is .22. I didn't see the alignment being the culprit until that. Took it to the alignment guy today that Mike's Z shop in Whittier swears by so we will see if the alignment stays. They said my toe bolt and another were loose. Pretty sad when it was re aligned yesterday and my readings were off again so I dumped the shop I've been going to for years. Took it today because it was pulling for the first time, after tire install yesterday. I'm seriously fed up, to be honest. It's a brand new car so I can't imagine anything else being wrong. Frustrated. So the answer to your question (my opinion): bad alignments.

MJB: that's what Nissan said was the reason. Keep in mind this is a dealer that had my car for a total of 7 hrs between 2 days trying to figure out why my tires were gone but worn evenly yet never mentioned my aftermarket springs nor thought to check my alignment. They wouldn't have found it was out since I checked it before and corrected it (only camber was out a tad) I took it to be sure I was the only was who was going to see an error in case they tried to throw my warranty from the lowering it or tweaked something on purpose to blame it on the springs. Just one step ahead of them but still odd they never mentioned it.
