Default 19" vs. 20" wheels

Forgive me for being such a noob here. But from what I've seen most people prefer to go with a 19" diameter wheel vs. a 20" wheel. Is it because of price, tire size availability or less unsprung mass or a little of each?

Sorry for such a noob question. I've only seen that people prefer 19's but no one ever really posted a reason why.

Depends on what you want to do. I think most of the track guys actually use 18s (which is also what I'd like to do once I get the money together) for weight and some modest cost saving.

For anything else it's probably just looks and personal preference. 19s are probably more popular because they come stock on the sport model Zs. 20's are great for saying you're rolling on "dubs"

if you want to get raped for rubber go with 20's. If you don't then stick with 19's.

All depends on the wheel, some of the most popular wheels are not even available in 20" options so you will see people settling for 19's instead

I'm thinking a 19" 20" stagger for daily and an extra set of 19" rears for track events =) I have an Imelda Marcos shoe thing for wheels which really sucks
