Default 18" wheels, sport brakes what offset?

I am looking to pickup some 18" wheels for track/racing. It is not clear to me what offset is needed on 18" wheels to clear the sport package brakes. 19" wheels are not an option for me (tires are 18"). I need to pickup several sets of wheels 18x9 front and 18x10 rear but obviously don't want to be wrong.

Can anyone let me know what is needed in terms of front and rear offset? Tire rule limits front to 275/30 max and rear 275/35. I don't want to run spacers if I don't have to. The threads here I have read through and can't find a clear enough answer. The Enkei RPF as an example, not clear what offset clears the sport brakes..

its depends on what wheels also. the rpf1's +35 dont clear sport brakes but the TC105n's i have with a +35 offset do. the face design has a lot to do with it. best thing to do is choose a wheel then ask some of our wheel vendors on here for more info!

its not as simple as offset. has to do with design too. So theres no way to 100% answer what offset will work.

like the person above, pick some wheels, and ask one of the wheel vendors. Or just call ravspec and tell them what you need and they can get it to you.

stock 18s fit the stock akebono big brakes, so if you can get a set of those, you can measure the pad to disc distance.

offset has nothing to do with it.

you need the "A" measurement:

Just get these and call it a day:

Volk TE37SL
Front: 18 x 10 +30
Rear: 18 x 11 +18

I'm running these on my Nismo with NO clearance problems.

I posted this already, limited to 18x9 front and 18 x 10 rear to meet the racing rules

So find me a Volk 18 x 9 and 18 x 10 and I am in business

Or Enkei, they are cheap. This will be my 6th race car and never been this hard to figure out, it is funneh.

do they have to be 9 and 10, or is that the widest? Stock 18s might be the best answer, possibly even widening them to the width you want. I widened a set of 350z track wheels for my setup to 9.5" and I run 295/40 Hoosiers on them.

What's your budget for wheels only? That might give us a better idea of what wheels you should be looking at.

No real budget except I have to buy at least 3 sets. My preference would be to not buy 3 sets of Volks if I can find something else, although 1 set Volks (or comparable cost) or maybe 2 would be okay.

Car will be raced in SCCA so the wheels will get the crap beat out of them.
